The Roots is the greatest late night band ever.  Love this song.  For some reason it always reminds me of Flight of the Concords though.  Weird.

Diane
This is actually a Husker Du cover ( I did not know that until today).  It is my understanding that Diane Richards was a victim of Serial Killer Joe Ture.  Apparently Diane was a high school friend of Husker Du drummer Grant Hall.  The song is from the killers point of view.  It is a very catchy little song, and then you hear the story of the song and then it goes very dark.

311 is a band from Omaha, NE.  The band got its name from the police code 311, the code for indecent exposure, when a band mate was arrested for streaking.  They have a mellow, reggae vibe about them.  Great summer band.

Coldplay is a rock band from England.  This song is very special to me.  This song just came out right about the time I was about ready to give birth to my first son, Zach.  Once he was born, I would dance around the living room with him in my arms, listening to this song and the rest of the debut album.  Everytime I hear this song, I instantly remember dancing around my living room with my newborn son.  This song will always be precious to me.  You are a lucky lady Gwyneth.

Buffalo Tom was an Alternative rock band out of Boston, MA, formed in 1986.  This band deeply affected me in the 90's. They have such great lyrics.  I think this band was way under-rated.  They were amazing.  I remember them on My So Called Life.  I was so excited they were on.  I know that ages me.  Jared Leto played Jordan Catalano.  Who didn't love the bad boy.  I so wished I was Claire Danes.
